LAP JOINT FLANGES
LAP Joint Flanges Manufacture
We are well known LAP JOINT FLANGES Manufacture in in Kolkata, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Lap Joint Flanges are similar to other types of industrial flanges, but it does not have a raised face. Lap joint flanges are used in conjunction with a “Lap Joint Stub End”.
The total initial cost of a lap joint flange along with a stub end is around one-third higher than that of comparable welding neck flanges.
The pressure holding capacity of lap joint flanges is comparatively lower, and the fatigue life for the assembly is only one-tenth that of welding neck flanges. These flanges are offered at custom-made sizes and shapes to our valued patrons.
The lap joint flange with the stub end assembly is normally used in piping systems that require regular dismantling for inspection and cleaning.
These flanges slip over the pipe and are not welded or otherwise fastened to it. Bolting pressure is transmitted to the gasket by the pressure of the flange against the back of the pipe lap (Stub End).
Benefits of using a Lap Joint Flanges:
- Freedom to swivel around the pipe facilitates the lining up of opposing flange bolt holes.
- Lack of contact with the fluid in the pipe often permits the use of inexpensive carbon steel flanges with corrosion-resistant pipes.
- In systems that erode or corrode quickly, the flanges may be salvaged for re-use.
S Nomi is one of the leading of top quality Lap Joint Flanges Manufacturer and Lap Joint Flanges Supplier in Kolkata, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand. Lap Joint flanges are used on piping fitted with with lapped pipe or with lap joint stub ends.
The lap joint flange with the stub end assembly are normally used in systems requiring frequent dismantling for inspection and cleaning and where the ability to swivel flanges and to align bolt holes materially eases the erection of large diameter or unusually stiff piping.
These flanges are also used in applications where there is a need to facilitate bolt alignment. These type of flanges are similar to slip-on flanges.
The only difference is that it has a curved radius at the bore and face to accommodate a lap joint stub end.
They may be used at all pressures and are available in a full size range. These lap joint flanges slip over the pipe, and are not welded. They are otherwise fastened to it.
Here the bolting pressure is transferred to the gasket by the pressure of the flange against the back of the pipe lap.
